Leadership
Akin Oyebode FCCA ACA
Akintunde is a highly skilled and experienced chartered accountant with an impressive track record of over 20 years in the field. Throughout his career, he has gained valuable expertise by working with diverse clients in both Nigeria and the United Kingdom. Akintunde holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from Ondo State University and is affiliated with prestigious professional organizations such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) UK. Additionally, he serves as an opt-in advisor in the Harvard Business Review Council.
Akintunde's career began at Pedabo Professional Service Lagos, a renowned firm of Chartered Accountants, where he honed his skills in auditing, financial reporting, taxation, and insolvency. He provided exceptional services to clients in the banking and oil and gas sectors. Later, he joined the Finance Control team at First Securities Discount House Group (Now FSDH Merchant Bank) in 2004. In this role, he was responsible for internal and regulatory financial reporting for the stockbroking subsidiary, Counters Trust Securities Limited (Now FSDH Securities Limited).
During his time in the UK, Akintunde has worked in various sectors, including Financial Services, Manufacturing, Government, Construction, Retail, and Consulting. He has specialized in finance transformation, taxation, regulatory compliance, advisory, and technology consulting for reporting entities. Akintunde has been involved in significant programs such as IFRS 17, BCBS 239, ERP Acquisition, Treasury Transformation, Finance Digital Platforms, Oracle Data Migration, Oracle Financials implementation, and Financial Control Industrialization.
In 2010, Akintunde co-founded Wrights Consulting Ltd UK, a company specializing in Finance, Tax, Technology, and Regulatory Change. Additionally, he etsablished Akin Oyebode & Co., which provides audit, tax, and advisory services in the Nigerian market and assists businesses in expanding their operations to Europe.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Akintunde enjoys spending quality time with his family and engaging in mentoring and charitable activities and baking fruitcakes
